Went down to Seattle and bought something...

...and with that purchase (a 2010 Surly Long Haul Trucker, in the lovely colour of "Blacktacular"), the plan has officially been set into motion! 

The "plan" of course, is to pedal my way to the Atlantic Ocean, roughly 5000km from my current abode, nestled a block from the Pacific. 

'Twas a lovely spring day. After hopping the earliest offering at way-too-early o'clock of the "BoltBus," I city-bussed myself out to Magnolia, a lovely residential neighbourhood northwest of downtown Seattle, and met with the seller in the early afternoon. After deliberating for all of 3 seconds, I was clearly in love and wasted no time. The return bus to Vancouver was roughly 3.5 hours later, giving me ample opportunity to seek and destroy the myriad steep hills that Seattle has to offer. 

The largest, most essential item now has a big ole "check" beside it. I first dreamt up this idea in 2010. Three years later, here we are...
